What is so special about a kara?

The Sikh KaraĀ is a symbol of oneā€™s unbreakable connection to the One Creator/God.Ā The karaĀ is in the shape of a circle which, like the eternal nature ofĀ the Source of All, has no beginning and no end.

OriginallyĀ instituted by the tenth Skih master/founder Guru Gobind Singh at the Baisakhi Amrit (Baptism)Ā in 1699 in AnandpurĀ Sahib India, the kara has become a symbol of the SikhĀ sisterĀ andĀ brotherhood.
