Elegant engraved/encrusted lapis Kirpan

Gem grade natural lapis lazuli inlaid handle and scabbard/sheath panels with a stainless damascus steel blade (ladder pattern). Overall length 6.25"/16cm and blade length is 3.1"/8cm. The entire handle and scabbard of this Kirpan is made from TruSilver® a 92.5% sterling silver alloy which has tarnish resistant properties 4–5 times that of traditional Sterling silver. 

All engraving, carving of the blade spine and 24kt. gold inlay as well as setting of over 260 full cut diamonds/4.5 carats, 3 carats of tanzanite and 2 carats of yellow sapphire were done by Julie Warenski-Erickson. Approximately .6 ounces of 24 karat gold have been utilized in the gold inlay work all over this Kirpan.

The Golden Temple in Amritsar India, considered the most sacred Sikh shrine in the world is engraved in 24K gold on the scabbard and has diamonds and yellow sapphires set around it. A woman kneeling and holding a sword is pictured on the other side of the Kirpan, championing womens empowerment, also inlaid in 24K gold and surrounded with diamonds and yellow sapphires.  Diamonds and tanzanite are set around the majority of the edge of the handle and sheath/scabbard.

This ‘one-of-a-kind’ Kirpan was created at the request of a client, open to our input and suggestions, to be given as a gift to his wife. On one side of the blade inlaid in 24 karat gold are the Gurumukhi words 'Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa ~ Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh'. On the other side of the blade is the nucleus meaning of these words 'I am the divine - so my attributes and so my actions' also inlaid in 24 karat pure gold. Lapis Lazuli augments strength, vitality, mental clarity and illumination.
