What is so special about a kara?

The Sikh Kara is a symbol of one’s unbreakable connection to the One Creator/God. The kara is in the shape of a circle which, like the eternal nature of the Source of All, has no beginning and no end.

Originally instituted by the tenth Skih master/founder Guru Gobind Singh at the Baisakhi Amrit (Baptism) in 1699 in Anandpur Sahib India, the kara has become a symbol of the Sikh sister and brotherhood.

These excellent solid stainless steel and gold tone (durable titanium nitride) coated stainless steel Karas are made from 300 series highest quality stainless steel. (Wearing  steel can give us strength!) They are precision machined so they are quite uniform and smooth all around. Most have sacred mantras or symbols laser engraved on them.

We have 5 different shapes and weights - in both steel and gold tone finishes.
