Verses originate from Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the foundation of Sikh religion and created with deep devotion.
We have two choices only - and only one of each! 4-6 weeks to make additional sets....
These need frames and arrive rolled up in a tube.
A. Large - The showcased size is 35”x69” (89x175 cm)
(Frame shown is for display purposes only here). Due to large size of the artwork the framing has to be arranged by the purchaser at the destination.
B. Small - Size of each of the 8 pages is 17”x25” / 43x64 cm
A bit about Ranjit Singh Pun.
He grew up in an environment cognizant of rich heritage of Gurbani Hymns and Vedic Chants. Passion to emulate the ancient scriptures in their original appearance resulted in a unique style of calligraphy.
Ancient rishis and ascetics used taadpatra (skin of a tree) to inscribe the scriptures. The pen used was a quill and the ink derived from vegetation. These scriptures still treasure the archives in various temples and museums all over.
Closest alternative to taadpatra is antique look handmade art paper generally used for artwork. The quill gets replaced by antique dip nib pens.
Such penmanship is MEDITATION. It needs focus, concentration, and practice. Takes a while to fine tune the flow on art paper. Once honed, you don’t want to write everything.
Attunement guides to select your works. Just a reach to the ones who feel HIM. It is a minuscule endeavor to reproduce what was feathered on taadpatra. The ultimate heritage of hymns contained in the Gurbani is yours in form of our calligraphy.
And beyond! The works are vast, production is limited; we hope to satiate the seekers.
