The artist grew up in an environment cognizant of rich heritage of Gurbani Hymns and Vedic Chants. Passion to emulate the ancient scriptures in their original appearance resulted in a unique style of calligraphy.
Ancient rishis and ascetics used taadpatra (skin of a tree) to inscribe the scriptures. The pen used was a quill and the ink derived from vegetation. These scriptures still treasure the archives in various temples and museums all over.
Closest alternative to taadpatra is antique look handmade art paper generally used for artwork. The quill gets replaced by antique dip nib pens.
Such penmanship is MEDITATION. It needs focus, concentration, and practice. Takes a while to fine tune the flow on art paper. Once honed, you don’t want to write everything.
