Why I believe our Artisan Kirpans are a wonderfully valuable investment for any who consider themselves Sikhs...

For more than 45 years I have worked diligently to bring forth excellence and innovation in custom created knives, swords, kirpans and jewelry. My intensive training at university early on, in metalsmithing and art, influence the caliber and quality of what we bring to market. Because God has afforded me a creative imagination, the highest standards and some new support, it feels like we have just begun to bring forth the inspirational product lines and varied artisan kirpans that we hope will help Khalsa Raj becoming a household name worldwide, inspiring and empowering many. Why you’ll treasure commissioning a legacy one-of-a-kind knife, sword or kirpan with us…

I’ve been working at creating excellence – in artfully designed, completely handmade knives, swords and kirpans for almost 50 years. My work is featured in ‘coffee table style’ knife books and collections many places in the world. At two Sikh Temples in India in the last 25 years my work has been gifted, celebrating and honoring important events in Sikh history. The privilege to work on several sacred objects, including those for private clients - has been a profound blessing, and provided auspicious experiences for growth and to be of service to the community… I was afforded a vision maybe 40 years ago ‘make the name Khalsa synonymous...

The inherent power in our stainless Damascus steel Kara bracelets!!

For about 25 years I forge welded my own high carbon Damascus steel mostly for one of a kind knives that I sold the collectors all over the world. The last sword blade I actually forged was utilized in this rather important sword gifted to Keshgar Sahib Gurdwara in Anandpur Sahib India in April ’99. Numerous colleagues contributed to make this possible, as we were manifesting my teacher, Yogi Harbhajan Singh’s, inspired visionwith this sword.  So, I knew after investing in making 1000 of our stainless Damascus steel karas, that they were going to be very cool. It was only...

How and why we endeavor to bring forth innovation and excellence… always!

I have been profoundly fortunate in my life. In my late teens I happened upon a system of yoga and Naam Simran (meditation) - that began to shift my entire outlook and path in life. The gentleman, Yogi Harbhajan Singh, who introduced me to this and was my teacher for 30 years, grew up in India and was a Sikh. His guidance has helped me navigate and find wonderful depth and purpose in my life. My journey of becoming a Singh (male Sikh) and a Khalsa (baptized Sikh) have been great blessings for me...

What makes our Kirpans the Worlds Finest?!

I’ve been working at creating excellence – in artfully designed, completely handmade functional knives, swords and kirpans for almost 50 years.  My work is featured in ‘coffee table style’ knife books and collections many places in the world. At two Gurdwaras/Sikh temples in India my work has been gifted, celebrating and honoring important events in Sikh history. My decades of dedication towards mastering this art and craft is one reason why I'm so passionate to provide excellence for you in the sharp kirpans (what good is a kirpan that is not sharp?) we create for Sikhs and collectors worldwide, which they...

Some illuminating thoughts on the Kirpan

We are grateful to Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia of Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha in Birmingham, U.K., for sharing his views on the Kirpan and gatraa (Kirpan strap), along with their significance in promoting shared values, and allowing their inclusion here. (Obtained from him around the year 2005). The Kirpan isn't a weapon in the normal sense of the word, and has no equivalent in the English language. Its concept, wearing and use within the Sikh religion as an article of faith is unique and original. Weapons have been used throughout human history as implements to cause offense, harm,...

Guru Gobind Singh's legacy inspires our excellent Kirpans....

When we presented the most highly embellished sword we’ve ever created to Keshgar Sahib Gurdwara in Anandpur Sahib India in April ‘99, honoring the birth of the Khalsa, (which I was blessed to forge the blade of and fabricate the entire thing, with the assistance of numerous master artisans, engravers and two laser companies), a thought occurred to me. I wondered whether I might have been part of the 10th Master’s privileged chelas (devotees) and soldiers, defending truth and justice for all - back 300+ years ago in a previous lifetime?    As a contemporary artisan/designer, knife, sword, kirpan and jewelry...

From ChatGPT - The sacredness in manifesting a spiritual warrior presence.

I have been very fortunate in this life to embrace ‘learning to protect myself’/varied martial arts, as well as yoga and Naam Simran (meditation on the One Lord God/Waheguru) for 51 years now. Thought I’d share something  along those lines, from the rather resourceful ChatGPT …..
